Endorsements
Endorsements are for persons who already hold a CE, CEAS, Provisional, or Standard Certification
Rutgers Newark offers programs leading to the following teaching endorsements
Middle School Mathematics Endorsement
This endorsement entitles the holder to teach mathematics in grades five through eight (5-8) in all public schools.
This endorsement does not permit the holder to teach the subject matter specialization in grades 9 through 12.
This endorsement requires a minimum of 15 credits in Mathematics and is a CO-CERTIFICATE and must be accompanied by an instructional certification.
English as a Second Language Endorsement
This endorsement entitles the holder to teach English as a Second Language in all public schools (K-12).
Bilingual/Bicultural Education Endorsement
This endorsement entitles the holder to teach Bilingual/Bicultural education in all public schools (K-12).
This endorsement is a CO-CERTIFICATE and must be accompanied by an instructional certification.
